"Ponzichter" was the name given to the German-speaking workers by the Hungarians of the Sopron region. It means bean growers, in-fact they used to grow vegetables, mainly beans, between the vine rows.
The wine combines grapes grown on both Austrian and Hungarian soils resulting in a crazy red: light in colour, reductive in the nose and slightly fizzy on the tip of the tongue. It is fresh and a bit herbal with notes of cherry and rosemary. Nice tannins in there and a rustic character.
