The Homok from Koppitsch is made from a variety of white grapes growing on sandy soil. “Homok” means “sand” in Hungarian – not surprisingly the Austrian vineyard is located right at the Hungarian border at Lake Neusiedl. As its title suggests, this line from Alex and Maria focuses on the characteristics of the terroir. The cloudy juice is light, fresh and has lovely tropical notes. Passion fruit, pineapple, lime and lemon, light in alcohol, super delicious. Have fun guys!

Natural wines made with Love!
“We craft natural wines with joy, complexity, honesty and soul.” Alex and Maria Koppitsch swear by low intervention winemaking and natural, handcrafted wines. The vineyard is located on the shores of Lake Neusiedl, where grapevines flourish on the sandy soil of the remains of the ancient Danube river. Alexander focuses on expressing his homeland’s unique terroir in his winemaking. As a result his wines are beautiful and complex as much as they are playful.
