The wine is herbal and fruity, it has an intense aroma of thyme that lingers nicely in the palate. There is also some cherry, blackberry and hay. Nice earthy tannins and a long finish filled with a burst of spices!

From desk life to vineyard!

The Domaine de Mathouans is a small winery in the South of France, in the heart of the Roussillon region. Aline Hock, the winemaker behind it, took over the terroir with some 100-year-old vines and turned the 12-hectare land fully bio-dynamic. Crazy floral notes characterise her quite distinctive wines made from indigenous grape varieties.
