2Naturkinder‘s Fledermaus Weiss is a wine that comes with a great story. The producers have built a cottage in the vineyard where local bats can live and grow their colony, in return the animals produce a great fertilizer for the vines. The grey long-eared bat, that inspired the label, has become very rare in the area, for every bottle sold a small percentage will help the preservation of this beautiful species. Lots of fruits in the nose: pear, peach, guava and a floral touch of jasmine. On the palate is super dry – thanks to the awesome tannins – light and fresh with smoky and stony notes.
