Big used oak barrels - Stainless steel tanks
Georg Schmelzer‘s Bicolor is quite an unusual marriage of white and red wine. The white local grapes are fermented separately and matured in stainless steel tanks, meanwhile the red grapes spend time in used barrels. This fusion represents the fruitiness and freshness of a white wine and the characters of a red wine. Some consider it a rosé, some others a red wine. It is summery and fruity, it taste ike a cherry juice without the sugar! There is a bit of lime, red currant and strawberry too. Such a fun wine!
